Privacy policy
What happens to what you send us
Effective [TODO] date these go live
Who we are
This site belongs to IS Films, a wedding photography and film studio based in Chicago. For anything in this policy, write to hello@isfilms.co, or by post at [TODO] business address for the legal pages.
What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form:
- Your wedding date
- The venue or location
- Your names
- Your email address
- Anything else you choose to write in the message field
There is no account to create, and nothing is collected from you unless you send that form.
What we do not collect
This site runs no analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no heatmap or session recorder, and no third-party tracker of any kind. It sets no cookies. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not know you visited unless you write to us.
Why we hold it, and for how long
Your enquiry is used to answer your enquiry: to check the date, quote for it, and talk to you about your wedding. It is not used for anything else, and it is never sold, rented or shared for marketing.
Enquiry details are kept for [TODO] e.g. 24 months after last contact, then deleted.
Who else sees it
- Google receives the enquiry form first and passes it to us. They act on our instructions and process it only to deliver it. Their privacy policy is here.
- Netlify serves the pages of this site. They see the request for a page, as any web host does, and nothing you type.
- YouTube and Vimeo, only if you click to play a film. Nothing loads from either until you do.
Nobody else. We use no email marketing platform and no CRM.
The typefaces on this site are served from this site, not from Google. Loading a page therefore sends nothing to Google — no request, and no IP address.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@isfilms.co and we will do it.
We photograph weddings outside the United States, including in the EU and EEA. If you are in the UK or the EU, the UK GDPR and GDPR give you those rights in law, along with the right to object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to complain to your national data protection authority. The lawful basis we rely on is your consent, given when you choose to send the form, and you may withdraw it at any time.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We do not keep contact details for the purpose of announcing changes, so the current version is always the one here.
